LAGUIOLE
Laguiole, small village of the Aveyron gave its name to a famous curved pocket knife decorated with a bee. It was much appreciated during last century by the farmers who went in transhumance.
Actually, many cutlers manufacture this model following the techniques and especially the different materials. As knives known as Laguiole of very variable quality were produced, it is thus essential to know the source of the knife.
Claude Dozorme, Master cutler brought his signature to this model, he was one of the first to introduce this knife on the tables. All the blades of his manufacture bear his name, warrant of quality, of the know how and of tradition.

The Laguiole of the Hiker
Knife of city but also faithful companion of the hikers, campers or for the picnic, this model was designed to be fastened in the pocket of a shirt, slipped into a bag or a portofolio.This use implies a knife of extra small size with a hook of the type pen, it also can be used as a money grip. The blade is manufactured with a first quality steel with an high percentage of carbon (0,50%), and also chromium (15%) and molybdenum (1%): the cut is matchless and the blade is easily regrindable.
